John A. Russell, 58, of Simi Valley, Calif., and formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in Simi Valley. 

He was born in Lebanon on Sept. 29, 1949, the son of William C. Russell, who is deceased, and Helen (Brackemyre) Russell, who survives in Lebanon. He married Angela Stephen and they later divorced. He married Sherry Noffke in Sept. 2006, and she survives. 

He graduated from Lebanon High School and Purdue University, and worked as an electrical engineer for KLCS television station in Los Angeles. A musician, he played several instruments and was a member of several bands in high school. He enjoyed motorcycles and owned several, taking them on vacations in the mountains. 

Survivors are also a daughter, Andrea Russell of Moor Park, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law Janet (Russell) and Robert Ellison of Kokomo; nephews Jeff Schooler and wife Rose and James Schooler, all of Phoenix; and a great-niece, Lauren Russell. 

A family memorial service will be in early November in Simi Valley.
