In Memory

Orba Good

Orba May Good, 71, of Lebanon and formerly of Whitetown, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Restoracy of Whitestown. She was born in Lebanon on June 24, 1949, a daughter of the late Marshall Jasper and Leola May (Jones) Good.

She was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School. Orba loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Mts. Runn Baptist Church where she had sung in the church choir and was part of the Willing Workers Ladies Missionary Organization. She read her Bible faithfully and was especially fond of the Daily Bread devotionals.

Orba and her parents lived in Whitestown until her mother’s death. She then moved to the Lebanon Manor Village and enjoyed her independent living for more than 27 years before moving to the Waters of Lebanon and then to the Restoracy in Whitestown.

She always loved the Lebanon festivals, parades, 4-H Fair, and special events. Indiana University was her favorite team and basketball was her favorite sport, but she would also cheer for Purdue. Going out to eat and spending time with her friends was the highlights of her life. Her laugh was unmistakable. She will be remembered by all who loved and helped her with daily living. Special recognition should be given to the medical professionals who dedicated their medical care, energy, kindness, and friendship to her. Many friends, pastors, church members, and family members have helped to care for her through the years. May the Lord bless each one for their loving kindness.

Orba May leaves behind many cousins, many friends, and church family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, several uncles and aunts, and her grandparents.

Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
