Terry Bartlett

March 2, 1950 - July 16, 2020

Terry Lee Bartlett, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.  He was a resident of Nashville.

Terry was born March 2, 1950, in Lebanon, to his parents, the late Melvin and Alberta (Wagner) Bartlett. He was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon Sr. High School and went on to serve as a Specialist 5 with the United States Army. Terry retired in 2013 from the Maintenance Department of Indiana University Hall of Residence after more than 30 years.

He enjoyed volunteering at Mother’s Cupboard in Nashville and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Terry also enjoyed fishing, hunting and his annual trip to Coco Beach, Florida with his wife Martha. He was a fan of NASCAR.                    

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Martha C. (Shearer) Bartlett, whom he married on December 22, 1984 in Nashville. He is also survived by his children, Terri Lynn Bartlett of Lebanon, Melanie Bartlett of Nashville, Kenny (Jennie) Kemmerling of Nashville and Jeremy (Renda) Edwards of Crawfordsville; siblings, Mike Bartlett of Lebanon and Becky Bogan of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Jake, Hunter, Anna, Cory, Cooper, Drake, Morgan, Dalton and Damon.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Samuel David Kemmerling.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 3 – 7 p.m. followed by Military Rites presented by the Brown County Honor Guard and the United States Army at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
