Gloria Graves (Mikesell)

Gloria Jean Mikesell, 65, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. Gloria was born June 18, 1949, in Lebanon, the daughter of the now late James Marion Graves Sr. and Betty Jean (Cox) Graves. A lifelong resident of Lebanon, she attended Lebanon High School. On May 8, 1993, she was married to James Woodrow Mikesell in Lebanon; he survives. They spent 21 loving years together. She had worked at Hardee’s for several years, and also at the Cattlebarn Restaurant for a period of time, retiring in 1993. Gloria was a devoted wife, stepmother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and taking rides in the car with her husband in the summertime. Survivors include her husband, James W. Mikesell of Lebanon; three stepchildren, Jimmy Mikesell of Michigan, Travis Lee Mikesell of Indianapolis and Rosie Mikesell of Long Island, N.Y.; three adopted daughters, Lisa, Dallas and Crystal; two brothers, Jack Romero of Winnemucca, Nev., and James Marion Graves Jr.; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Caesar Romero. Private family graveside services will be held Friday at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon. No Visitation is planned. Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, is handling the arrangements for burial. I'm so sorry.  It seems to be happening too often.  Wilma Smith Mcclaine just passed last weeek.  Who will be next?  I pray that all of my classmates stay well  and happy.  Love to all.  Janie
